Last night the City Council held a public hearing on the 5600 West project. Here 5600 West public hearing document you can see the project schedule as well as some of the design specifications of the project.

What is the city going to do about traffic noise on the south end of 5600 West (South of 13400)? I see an ever increasing amount of traffic most exceeding the posted speed limits and the large construction vehicles may well exceed safe limits from both sound and weight restrictions. I would like to see some noise levels taken and some form of mitigation put in place on this end of the road as well.
Mike I will relay your message to UDOT. We are certainly sensitive to the impact this construction has in the lives of residents. Thanks for the input! I have seen water trucks in the area you speak of doing what they can to mitigate potential dust issues. Hopefully we can all be mindful of our speed on this and all other streets in Herriman.
