The Herriman Towne Center Q&A
Herriman City and Momentum Development Group (formerly known as The Sorenson Group) celebrated the beginning of the Herriman Towne Center’s new neighborhood development last week. A ribbon cutting took place at 13158 S Herriman Rose Blvd at one of the neighborhood’s first model homes. The residential neighborhood is located near the newly completed Herriman Library and the J. L. Sorenson Recreation Center, which will officially open its doors next month on March 18.
What is the Herriman Towne Center?
The Herriman Towne Center is an exceptional master-planned community located on 375 acres in Herriman between 126th and 134th South at 5000 West. The Herriman Towne Center came about through the collaborative efforts of Herriman City leaders and planners, The Sorenson Group, and Salt Lake County officials. This notable development will include a mix of public, residential, retail and recreational space. The public center of the development will comprise of more than 35 acres of the town center and is the home to the J.L. Sorenson Recreation Center, the Herriman Library, and Silvercrest Elementary. Mixed-use retail areas and residential neighborhoods will emanate from the public center of the development. I anticipate that the Herriman Towne Center will help to make Herriman a destination community where people from outside of Herriman’s borders will be drawn to come shop and play.
